Eze, France 10/26/07

Eze is a medieval village atop a mountain. When we arrived we parked at the foot of the mountain and looked up. It was an awesome sight, something that you only see in fairy tales. And then we had to start climbing up! Once in the village we were allowed to wnder around and explore the small village. Only the pictures could be close to what we saw. This first picture is from the top of the mountain in the village. The houses and shops seemed to be carved right into the mountain. With winding walkways and steps from one door to the next, foot travel was the only way you could get around.

I love the doorway! I want to live here! How romantic! Why can't we live somewhere like this and wear our big pheasant skirts and carry baskets full of fresh produce and make homemade bread and drink local wines and raise beautiful flowers? (whine.whine)
